This is an ancient Roman Glass pendant, hand made in Israel. The glass is found in archeological digs, mainly in Casserea where the Romans had a glass factory making wine bottles. By Roman law the bottles were clear as to see the wine inside. Over time the elements changed the color to blue green color with bits of sedement and iridecent color. This is the lip of a bottle with sterling silver filigree on each end. The jeweler who works with the glass must be authorised by the antiquities department in the Israel museum.
