This whimsical kitchen set is a must have for your kitchen decor. The Magnetic Memo Pad measures 10" X 3" and a very strong magnet for refrigerator mounting. Sporting scenes from a few infamous episodes with an always scheming Lucy, the set is beautifully colored in hues of blue, red and yellow. The pad is trimmed with a blue border and lettering. The pad is also adorned with a red checkerboard pattern and the I Love Lucy Heart Logo. The pad is lined for easy writing and is cleverly titled, "What's Lucy Cooking Up?" It debuted in 1951 and was an instant hit with the ONE AND ONLY Lucy and her Cuban band leader husband, Ricky Ricardo. They live in a Brownstone apartment building on East 68th Street in New York City with their best friends and landlords, Fred and Ethel Mertz. The show revolves around the antics of Lucy as she tries to get out of the jams, scrapes, and predicaments of all kinds that she gets herself into, usually involving her husband, Ricky. Fred & Ethel frequently find themselves in the middle of Lucy's outlandish escapades, which are many! Lucy is quite sly though and can usually use her beauty and charm to get her out of the worst of her troubles! After some time on the air, Lucy gives birth to their only child, Little Ricky. At the same time, Ricky finally achieves great success as an entertainer. Ricky is asked to go to Hollywood to star in his first motion picture. Together, the Ricardos and the Mertzes drive to California for Ricky's big break and the shows revolve around the hysterical situations that Lucy gets into. Shortly after the Ricardos return home to New York, the Ricky Ricardo Orchestra is booked for an extensive European tour, and Lucy, Ricky, Fred, and Ethel soon find themselves visiting England, France, Switzerland and Italy, w Lucy ends up in another round of wacky adventures! The show continues on after they returned back to the United States and finally aired it's final episode in 1961. The I Love Lucy Show still makes people young and old laugh today and this wonderful set is a fun tribute to the success of that beautiful, but daffy woman, Lucille Ball.
