Up for auction is a new in box Paul Chen rplica of a Sheffield Horse-Gator Bowie. Created for Pal Cheen by the master swordsmiths at Dahlian Forge, Hanwei China, this terrific knife is a replica in every sense. It is sharp, tough, well made, and great looking. It boasts a 9 1/2" hand forged high carbon blade with a full tang. The blade is set in a 4 1/2"exotic wood handle with nickel silver pins, and a decorated nickel silver pommel. The guard is also nickel silver. The art work on the pommel is a figure that is half horse,(see Davy Crockets' tall tales), and half gator. The knife comes with a genuine leather sheath with a nickel silver tip, both in a cardboard presentation box.The craftsmen at Dahlian have outdone themselves on this one, I got one for myself after seeing and handling one I bought for a friend.
