This is a really great screwback pin from the New Jersey Zinc Company in Franklin, New Jersey. It has a beautiful red enamel background to golden letters and trim. Made of brass. The pin was given as a reward of sorts by a safety committee to qualified miners. It measures 9/16" both ways. The back screws on and states that it was made by the Whitehead-Hoag Company of Newark, NJ.. Beautiful condition ! Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck bidding ! Note: The New Jersey Zinc Company closed its Franklin mine in 1953.
