ONTARIO KNIFE Straight Edge Pilot's Knife, Official Army & Air Force Issue - NEW This is a NEW IN BOX Ontario Knife Company #499 Pilot's Survival Knife -- guaranteed GENUINE ISSUE. The 5 inch 1095 Carbon Steel blade has an aggressive saw-back. The knife is 9 1/2 inches overall. The blade is Zinc Phosphate treated to minimize light reflection. The oval handle is constructed of natural colored compacted leather disks, similar to Ka-Bar's construction. It is equipped with a steel butt cap and guard, also finished black. The sheath is leather, and the retaining strap is riveted AND sewn to the sheath so it cannot be lost. The top of the sheath has two large slots for wearing on a belt, and the bottom has two small holes for the tie down cord (included), if desired. The outside of the sheath also has a snap-closure pouch which holds a sharpening stone (yes, the stone is included, too). This knife is guaranteed BRAND NEW, never used, or you may return it for refund of purchase price. We are an authorized Ontario Knife Co. dealer, so you are NOT buying this knife second-hand. You will be the original owner. This knife is also available in our eBay store at a Buy It Now price.
