TALK ABOUT TRUE BEAUTY!! THE CORONET HEAD AKA THE LIBERTY HEAD IS A GREAT WAY TO INVEST IN GOLD AND HISTORY AT THE SAME TIME IT IS ALSO ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR BECAUSE OF ITS AFFORDABILITY. First minted in 1838, the $10 series of Liberty gold was inspired by Christian Gobrecht's design from a portrait of Venus. Because each coin contains nearly a half-ounce of pure gold, the most popular dates in the series typically increase in value quickly in response to rising gold prices. The bust of Liberty is accented by her hair pulled into a knot and fine curls dangling down her neck. She wears a coronet proclaiming "Liberty" while the thirteen stars for the thirteen colonies surround the coin's design. Spread Eagle - The reverse of the $10 Liberty is a heraldic eagle surrounded by the words "United States of America," the denomination "Ten D" at the bottom and the "In God We Trust" was added to all coins minted after 1866 and which are referred to as WM which means with motto The $10 Liberty coins are highly collectible and as the price of gold continues to climb make a great investment. Their numbers were greatly diminished in 1933 when U.S. gold coins were recalled to the Treasury and millions of gold coins were melted down and destroyed forever. It is truly a great experience to have the opportunity to own one of these fascinating pieces of American history I try to honestly describe everything i sell, I don't take blurry pictures trying to hide something and i englarge them so that you can see every detail even ones i never noticed untill i took the pictures, So please view the pictures and grade for yourself as i am not a expert and opinions vary and at the very least i may miss, not see, or incorrectly describe a item . No warranties are extressed or implied and opinion of grades are just that opinions. Grading is not a science and several factors along with personal preference for color, toning, strike, blemishes, die cracks and plain eye appeal make it possiable for two people to come to different opinions on a grade. And as i understand it the market conditions change, the grading standards change and may always do so. I take the pictures so that you can examine the item just in case i incorrectly describe or miss something. An inescapable fact is that the world has changed and refusing to acknowledge that fact will have serious financial repercussions. The world’s top banks and brokerages are recommending to their highest net worth accounts to allocate 5%-20% of their portfolio into precious metals.Their main concerns are: 1. Debt The enormous debt of the United States which the most current report places at approximately $9.0 trillion dollars and growing at a rate of over ½ trillion dollars a year. Central banks have publicly stated that they will reduce their dollar holdings to increase their gold holdings. 2. Inflation According to the CPI (Consumer Price Index) which is used by the federal government to gauge inflation, inflation is not currently problem.
