This auction is for a NIB Airtronics Inc. Eclipse radio controlled, powered model airplane glider kit (#900219). The kit is unbuilt, and complete except for the missing 05 motor and gearbox. The finished plane will have a wingspan of 2 meters (77.5"), and 660 sq. in. wing area. The kit requires a 3 channel (or more) radio, a power system (05 motor, gearbox & battery), and covering material. The Eclipse is a powered version of the Olympic 650, which itself was the little brother of the Oly II. It was designed by Tim Renaud. It features a nice three-piece wing with a semi-symmetrical airfoil, complete hardware package (including pushrods) and Full-aized plans. The kit is a good beginner plane, as it is easy to build, and very rugged. It is one of the most complete kits I have ever seen. The kit includes: Full-sized plans Photo illustrated instruction booklet Pre-cut balsa ribs, plywood formers, and other curved pieces Pre-cut light plywood fuselage sides Complete hardware package including pushrods, hinges, nylon wing bolt, and control horns Master Airscrew folding prop and spinner The kit is in excellent condition. The many parts bags are still stapled to the inside of the box, the wood is all straight, and unwarped. It really is a very nice and complete kit. The power system, however, is dated.
