Each is decorated with an enamel pattern separated by strips of flattened copper wire. Thank you for considering our ornaments The Cloisonné process starts with the ornament being crafted from a copper sheet. Copper wire strands are fused to the object creating an outline for the design.The cells formed by the wire pattern are hand painted with vitreous enamels. The ornament is then fired at high temperature essentially turning the enamel to glass. The wire areas that are not enameled are then gold or silver plated and the resulting ornament is polished.
