This is a nice oak ANSONIA "KING" model mantel clock. It is 23 1/2" tall and 13 3/4" wide. The original Ansonia marked movement is in fine running and chiming condition. It chimes once for the half hour and counts the hour numerically on the original marked coiled gong. The dial has been replaced with the correctly marked reproduction paper dial. T are extra mounting holes in the case for the movement, but it looks like the holes must have been stripped and they just lowered the movement and then they lowered the dial a bit to match. Part of the original label is still pressent on the back, but my flash made it so you couldn't read it. All that can be made out on the label is "onia" for Ansonia. The original nickel pendulum looks great. The only issue with the case is that t are two short splits at the top (shown in the pictures), but they can't be seen from the front and they are really tight and not that noticeable anyway. The glass on the front door looks great and has no cracks or breaks. This clock is very solid and would make a great addition to your collection or to use as an everyday time keeper. I am pricing this clock to sell. I have seen this model sell for $125.00 more than my buy it now price. Some adjustment may be needed after shipping.
