Nice Garrett Wade Japanese Tenon Back Saw, Fast Cutting we have a fast cutting back saw made for Garrett Wade Company in very good condition, having been used only a couple of times. It is a 12" saw with razor teeth in a crosscut configuration. The hanging hole in the end of the blade is part of the original design. It has a white oak handle with brass screws and a steel back. It is very sturdy and straight cutting. It has never been dropped or dented, and has no rust (seems to be of a good steel that is more immune to rust than many saws); only a few very minor wear scratches on the shiney blade. Depth of cut is just under 3-1/4". Blade is .025 thick. Kerf is .037 or so. This saw is aggressive and has a good feel for cuttting. It cuts quite a bit faster than vintage backsaws, by the way.
