This large Continental Saber dates from the early 19th Century. It is mounted with a curved and fullered blade that measures 30 inches in length which remains in nice condition with only some minor surface staining. It wears a brass stirrup guard that frames a beefy, partially checkered ebony hilt which although has a small chip near the pommel does remain nice in condition. The leather scabbard is healthy but missing both the top and base fittings with only the carrying ring fitting still present. Overall measuring 35 1/8 inches in length.
