This auction is for a nice looking New Haven bronze mantel clock. It stands about 14" tall and is about 9" wide. The original porcelain plaque is in great shape with no cracks. The case is nice, but the very tip has a crack (see pictures) about a 1/2" from the tip or it could be a casting flaw, but it doesn't go all the way through and it is very solid. The back access door is missing (not uncommon). The rococo style bezel opens and shuts fine and the glass is in great shape. The original marked dial is very colorful with only one small chip above the number 11 (see pictures). The hands are very ornate. The original movement is unmarked, but this is how all of the New Haven small round movements are (I've had about 20 or so). The chime side works fine. When you move the hands it strikes once on a coiled gong for the half hour and counts the hours numerically, but the main spring on the time side is broken. If you wind it to the point before the spring slips, it will run for awhile, so all of the gears are in good shape. The pendulum is included with this clock. With just a little work this will make a great clock to add to your collection. Shipping for the lower 48 states will be $25.00. Feel free to ask questions and thanks for looking.
