's a nice old or antique clock we received recently with some antique and older vintage goods. My guess is this is from the 1870's to 1890's though t's probably enough info to get a more precise dating. This is an E. Ingraham shelf or mantle clock and it appears from the label on the back this one was a moedl known as the "JUNO". The clock had a nice case with handcrafed surface carving or decoration and is in running condition. The key with the clock seems to be proper to the clock and has E. Ingraham markings and signs of age. The glass has a dragon decorative design, quite nice condition, seems to be original. The dial appears to be paper. ' some of the details we noted of interest. (1) The clasp or catch piece to hold the door shut is missing. Door stays shut on it's own but this needs to be mentioned. (2) The adjusting nut at the bottom of the pendulum is missing. Should be easy to address but again needs to be noted. So we could test run the clock we used a rubber band to prevent the pendulum from slipping off the shaft (since t is no nut to hold it on). (3) The pendulum seems to be proper to the clock and is the type that can have an insert piece. T is no insert piece present. (4) The lower inside corner of the door has been repaired at some earlier time with a crossing piece of wood nicely joining the two corner pieces of the frame. No issue but should be noted. (5) T are a very few light paint spots, white, that we show in one of the pictures on the base of the clock. (6) The finish is nice but has dried with age and has somewhat fine alligatoring, not offensive or significantly notable. (7) The clock runs fine, keeps time decently though dropping the pendulum a bit from w we have it temporarily held with a rubber band would fine up the time keeping ability. The chime counts out the hour properly and also rings once on the half hour. T is an additional mechanism, seems to be some kind of alarm clock feature with a bell. The mechanism seems to be intact but we do not know if this feature works or not, not familiar with how to set it but know it has something to do with the numbered dial at the center of main dial,,probably best to presume the alarm feature isn't working at present. (8) Case could use a little light cleaning to look it's best. The clock has been stored for some years. The clock has a very nice appearance overall as antique clocks go, nice woodwork, somewhat primitive accent or decorative carving, nice overall look. It is about 20.5 inches tall, 5 inches deep and 14.5 inches wide. T is also an imprint of the clockmakers information on the inside of the case at the bottom as we show in a picture, Manufactured by The E. Ingraham Co., Bristol, Conn". That's about it. Very nice antique clock with minor needs. We'll start this antique key wind clock low so enjoy the auction. When packed the clock will weigh about 10.5 lb so we'll use USPS Parcel post service as the lowest cost postal service alternative to the domestic US buyer. We have no packing or handling charge. Extra cost USPS postal services like Postal Insurance, Tracking, or Upgraded postal services are easily available should the winning bidder wish to make arrangements .
