This auction is for a set of seven Limoges individual oyster / seafood dishes. They could also be used as nut dishes. From 1930s. Elegant design, Art Nouveau style. Nicely shaped pierced handle. Scalloped border. Gold trim on handle and rim. The rim is also decorated with a hand painted green line. Two GDA marks under the base indicate that the dishes were made by Gerard, Dufraisseix and Abbot, a Limoges porcelain company. Dimensions: 3 1/4" wide at the widest point - 4 1/4" long, including handle, 3 3/8" long without the handle - 3/4" high. The height is 1 1/4" at the handle.Five dishes are in excellent condition. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. One dish has a very small nick under the edge of the base, another dish has a superficial glaze flake under the handle (please see pictures for details). No crazing, no scratches on the dishes. Shiny glaze! The gold trim is nice and bright.Buyer contributes $6.00 towards shipping, priority mail including insurance. Money order or personal check are accepted. Payment should be received within 10 days of end of auction.
