EXCELLENT WOODEN MODEL of a 19th CENTURY WHITEHALL CUTTER ROWING BOAT.Quite some years ago I had the last local commercial wooden boat Shipwright build this model for me off 19th Century Plans and in lifts like the Half Hull Builders Models. It is one of a kind and never another made .I had it built of Juniper wood with 7 lifts in the original manner, Juniper wood when fresh cut is white so you can see the nice aged old mellow yellow patina on this model. I had him do a base out of Juniper also but stained it and the vessels rest on keel blocks and two timber shorings so as to seem as if she were being built on the weighs.Bottom of base old "schooner green" color(my favorite) and has small brass ball feet.T is an old catalog number of mine back aft just above keel. It is a beautiful hull as Whitehalls were one of the nicest elegant shaped hulls in wooden boat history in my opinion. It is in very excellent condition and measures hull alone 18 1/2 INCHES and with base overall 20 1/2 INCHES. Its a beauty! I will not take less for it than listed so if you want please go thru the auction good chance I will not relist etheir as it still "winks" at me! Good Luck on the Bidding!! ***NOTE*** Photos seem blurred once downloaded so email if you would like clear detailed photos.Thank You !
