Measuring 10 1/4" High, by 4 1/2" Wide, across the Pontiled-Base, is...This Incredible Piece of Sandwich Glass; A Huge, Pressed "Fleur-De-lis"? Pattern, 'Celery-Vase" with a ground/Polished Pontil-Mark and .. a Blown-Open, or Hollow-Stem. I have seen similar, such, Blown,Hollow-Stemmed, Vases, and the like, where a Glass-Blower, back in the early 19thc., actually was able to blow the Stem, around an Old "Silver Seated-Libert, U.S. Dime, dating to the mid-19thc.) There are a few such examples of this technique, (whimsical glass-blowing!), At the famed, Sandwich Glass Museum, which is only about three miles, from where the Old Boston and Sandwich Glass Factory operatad from 1825-1888, making fine Flint-Glass Wares for the Prominent Homes, In New-England....Having Lived on Cape Cod, Massachusetts for the better part of my LIfe, I have spent years, going to the Antique Shops, sales, Flea-Markets, etc. and never seen a Celery, this Nice, Unique and absolutely Damage-Free. NO CRACKS, CHIPS, BRUISES, STAINING, etc. Un- Believable~ What a Prize...
