NIRVANA QUARTZ 3.25" X 2" X 1.15" 5.3 OZ / 150 GR THIS SPECIMEN IS SUBTLE PINK WITH TRACES RED COPPER ADHERED TO THE SURFACE PLACE OF BIRTH: KULU PASS, HIMALAYAS, NORTHERN INDIA Back in circa 600 AD, a Chinese pilgrim monk Xuanzang visited an area of Northern India now known as the Kullu Valley. He found a sacred site where Buddha preached to the locals and made conversions. He found 20 or so Buddhist Monasteries, some 15 Hindu temples and people of both faiths mixed and living together. It was a sacred place with thousands of “meditation caves” at the higher elevations. These two faiths pilgrimage ended in this fertile valley named Kulanthpitha which means “the end of the habitable world”, thus the name Kullu.
