is a decent looking No. 10 OPLEX grinder made by the Bronson-Walton co. and dates to about 1900. It has labels on both sides and read "No.10 "OPLEX" OVAL GLASS DUPLEX GRINDER MADE IN CLEVELAND OHIO BY THE BRONSON-WALTON CO." The label on the right has a little more wear than the left side witha couple tiny spots worn away, one in the letter "N" in No. and one in the "0" in 10 and a tiny spot at the very top right center in the design. Left side not missing any label but seems to have more minor denting near the back that is hard to see. Some minor surface rusting near the bottom on all sides and front, again minor, mentioned for accuracy. Front glass window appears perfect with gold lettering clear and easily readable, japanning 95% complete around the exterior of the oval and glass is chip and crack free. I ran my finger around the interior and felt no chips and feels tight in the oval mount. T are the usual imperfections for the time in the glass such as a few nice bubbles and some straw marks. The center of the window is slightly concave on the outside, adding to the crudeness of the piece. Grinder throat has the info. "PAT'D JULY 9/01 AND NOV. 10 1903". I presume the later pat. refers to fineness of grind on the backside of grinder (note wheel visable in last picture.) Appears to have the correct lid, handle and cup holder, and read more
