Sword as used by Federal officers, imported, probably from German states. Blade is marked PROVED, no other markings, it was plated at one time. 32 1/2 inch blade, near straight, no nicks, however the blade was broken at one time, and neatly repaired-see last photo. Distinctive US and eagle. Three crimps in the scabbard, the drag shows real wear. Dark shark-skin handle, about 96% complete, with thin double wire mostly intact. Displays very nicely, would not recommend using in the field. USA sales only.
