Vintage Noritake/Nippon 175/16034 ROUND DOUBLE HANDLE SERVING BOWL This is the second of two unique Serving Bowl's that belonged to a friend's great Aunt. It was found in her attic, along with a second one just like it, (offered in separate auction) wrapped in newspaper that was dated 1970. This piece is in near MINT condition. No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. T are two things I want to mention about this piece. First, like the other bowl, I can not tell if the gold paint around the rim has been touched up? If it was, it was done very well! The second thing I want to mention: along the top of the rim is a very slight "pinch" in the porcelain. I do not think it is a chip, but something that has been t since production. This bowl has a different style ROSETTE in the Ornament. I think this is a later piece? I'm not sure. This piece does have a green Noritake backstamp, however, rather than the traditional #16034, t are just Japanese symbols.. This Serving Bowl measures just about 7 1/4 inches in diameter (slightly smaller than the other bowl). End of handle to end of handle is 9 5/8 inches. It stands 3 inches high. This unique Serving Bowl will be a great addition to any formal table setting. I try my best to describe each item. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. I will be happy to answer all questions. Bid with confidence. read more
