This beautiful candy dish has a wonderful hand painted design that's almost paisley-like. The colors are bright and include gray, two or three shades of green, maroon, mocha brown, dark brown, blue gray, black and teal. The background is a pale yellow fading to white at the bottom of the dish. The top edge and double handles are gold-toned -- all-in-all, a gorgeous dish and wonderful display piece! It measures 7" across at the handles and 6.5" on the opposite sides. The back is clearly marked Noritake, Handpainted, Made in Japan. T are no cracks, stains or chips -- only some slight paint loss on the bottom flower that I just noticed today in preparing this for listing (see photo close up). The starting price is significantly below what I paid at an antique store in Pennsylvania so have fun bidding!
