Noritake Bone China Porcelain Koi Fish Red Carp ************************************************* For your consideration I have for sale a great Noritake China Koi fish or as we know it a red carp. (Please check out my other auction of a Carp or Large Mouth Bass). It is marked Noritake Bone China with an Aladdin Lamp and wreath, Nippon Toki, Japan. It is decorated in a beautiful bright red paint - just outstanding!It measures approximately 12" long by 4" wide and 3 1.2" high. I believe the era of the piece is from 1940 through the 1950's. The word "koi" come from the Japanese, simply meaning carp. It includes both the normal grey fish and highly colored varieties. Koi means love, affection and tfore symbolizes love and friendship in Japanese culture. Colors are strong and the eyes on the fish just pop! Condition:Excellent Condition - No chips, breaks or cracks. Payment Terms Buyer to pay shipping and handling costs - insurance is optional.
