NORMAN ROCKWELL illustration inside a complete AMERICANMAGAZINE - “ SWORDS AT WEEHAWKEN ” by Leonard Falkner Date: November, 1938 Pages: 164 pages Size: 8.5 x 11.5-inches Condition: Straight from my personal collection, these original 2 Norman Rockwell illustrations inside a complete American Magazine contains the complete 6 page story. The illustration pages has no tears, creases or folds. The illustration is vivid and fresh, against a nice and clean background. The magazine cover has just 1 tiny right edge tear, minor handling on the right and bottom edges, and a scuff at the bottom of the spine. Someone put a damp glass on the cover, and it has left a ring. There is also some slightly sticky (perhaps tape residue) in a couple of places. The bottom edge has some light pink staining, but it is not a water stain. The complete magazine is still securely bound with its 3 staples. As I thumb through this magazine, the inside pages appear clean, with no tears or dog eared corners. For some reason, there is light pink staining on pages facing (and back side) of illustrations with pink. It is most noticeable on 4 pages. It is not water stain, and must have been done during the printing process. The back cover has a couple of tiny left edge tears, a scuffed bottom left corner tip, minor handling on the bottom edge, and a tiny puncture.
