Following the significant success in launching the new casting of the Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian model in the livery of Lothian Buses in 2005, Creative Master Northcord Limited is releasing the fourth livery on this casting relating to Lothian Buses – UK4015 in Lothian Buses’ fully madder and white, with increased white, representing fleet number 269 (P269 PSX), on route 15A . Lothian Buses’ 269 was withdrawn on the morning of 29 th July 2009 and was the last fully madder and white Royale to operate across the city centre in normal service. The model is being recreated as it was, on that day, when it operated its last normal service journey. The withdrawal of 269 left 4 Royales in the main fleet : 432 in “Lothian Red” and 272, 278 and 282 with madder and white fronts only as the remaining bodywork was covered in advertising for Scottish Hydro Electric.
