Offered for your consideration is a NORTHERN PACIFIC tall globe railroad lantern with a clear cast globe. The Northern Pacific existed from 1872 to 1970 until it became one of the original railroads which merged to form Burlington Northern in 1970. Burlington Northern again merged with the Santa Fe in 1997 to form the present day Burlington Northern Santa Fe or BNSF. The frame is an Armspear double wire guard, twist off pot style and is embossed on the shoulder "N.P.RY." The frame has been cleaned and is in excellent condition: rust free, stands straight and has no pitting, dents, bent, broken or missing parts. T is an inventory or control number neatly stamped on the shoulder which is 10606. It comes with the correct Armspear fount and brass slip style burner. Fount & burner are fully functional; wick easily adjusts up and down. The clear cast globe is in excellent condition; free of chips, cracks, scratches or cloudiness other than a few no show bottom rim chips which are not visible when the globe is in the frame. It is cast "N.P.R.R." in an oval panel on one side and "SAFETY ALWAYS" on the opposite side with the Corning CNX logo cast above safety always. This lantern and frame make a great set and are ready for display. Feel free to ask additional questions. Shipping for this item will be actual cost to be determined by the final
