This is a beautiful antique pressed glass pitcher, very striking magnificent blue color and painting detail. Apparently the paint work is unusual. It has gilding and white paint detail in the scroll and acanthus design. From research it is apparently circa 1903 Northwood American glass. Approx. 5 inches high at highest point. Its a large creamer or for sauce. There is damage to small i n lower portion , not sure if its damage or original issue because there i s a round hole , and a less round one that looks like a chipping in the glass and you can see it in the second photo to examine. The interesting thing is that the exterior surface is still round and you have to look closely to see what the damage is, that it is not just internal. No other damage, the gilding is antique and so there are areas that a re some fading of the gold but surprisingly little. Also wonderful to see the bubbles inside the glass, which tells you its age. Put this in a window, and the color will jus t be a wow. The de sign too is just lovely and gracious. P lease do look at all the photos. Col or is even more amazing whe n you see it.
