Reproduction Box Offered, one, 50 round (packed heel to toe), .45 caliber Riot Cartridges , Peters Cartridge Company ammo box for the Thompson Submachine Gun. We ship all of our cartridge boxes U.S.P.S. Priority Mail FREE .This box has not been aged and is meant to appear as it did NEW, out of the case, sitting on the shelf of Peter von Frantzius' Sports, Inc. gun shop in 1929 Chicago. It was his gun shop that sold Thompson Machine Guns, magazines and ammunition to Al Capone's henchmen shortly before the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. These two boxes compliment each other well and make excellent displays for Prohibition era collectors and Thompson Sub-machine gun enthusiasts. All of our boxes receive a final wrap of single wax gun paper for added protection. These boxes are extremely sturdy and make an excellent decorative item for a sportsman or collector's desk. They work well to hold small accessories, cuff links or tie pins on a dresser. They also make an excellent gift box for wrapping up that special holiday gift. We also offer this box as a limited edition, Aged Relic for motion picture use or display purposes (listed separately when available). We make these boxes only two at a time in our workshop (they are not mass produced). This box has UV protection, archival coating, light weather resistance and is suitable for re-enactors. We do not sell live ammunition. Any ammunition seen in our photographs is for demonstration purposes only. This auction is for one box. Our custom cartridge and pistol boxes are manufactured in the U.S. and all the work is completed at our studio in Kentucky. We supply historical reproductions of some of the most recognizable cartridge boxes, gun boxes, pistol grips and pistol grip boxes from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century American arms manufacturers to collectors, movie studios and re-enactors. While most of our products are intended for display purposes with your antique firearm, some of our reproductions are weather reinforced and suitable for military re-enactment or the rigors of a SASS cowboy shoot. Our products and boxes are handcrafted, museum quality, reproductions. Some of our boxes are aged to simulate 50 to 100 years of field use, handling and shelf wear. They will be listed separately when available. Every graphic is new and all lettering is computer generated one character at a time, clean, clear and crisp as the original. We do not make copies of old graphics. All of our labels receive archival coatings and UV protection before leaving our facility. Please check some of our additional items for sale.
