This is an incredible old unusual lamp that I bought from a lamp dealer. I do not know the age or any history on it except that I was told it culd be an unsigned Tiffany lamp or a reproduction since Tiffany would make this kind of irisdescent purple and greenish slag glass. Each piece of glass is leaded into place from the inside. I am not sure if it is solid bronze or spelter with bronze overlay but I think it is the latter part. I think that the basic design of this lamp is that of a tree with this great art nouveau design on the base and the shade is in the shape of a hood. The lamp hood moves back and forth and it looks like it can be tightened by hand on both sides to make the move stationary. The bulb socket looks to be original with a good working pull chain and the electrical cord and plug are not original but they're replaced with a nice silk covered cord and a new plug. It measures approximately 17 inches high, 11 inches wide at the base of the shade and about 8 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. It is really heavy and weighs approximately 13 lbs. T are some small nicks and t but overall it is in a great condition. It was rather difficult to photograph when the lamp was lit to capture the true beauty of the irisdescent glass. This would make a nice addition to your collection. Thanks for looking!
