Item for auction is an unclassified NWA meteorite weighing 9.10g. This stone was found in a large lot of NWA 869, displaying a glossy, frothy fusion crust and checkered with minute contraction cracks. Its definitely not 869 and at first I threw the stone into a bin of uNWA with potential. Upon closer inspection, the stone shows low magnetic susceptibility ≤ LL type. The matrix shows green coloration and features several metal inclusions (not metal blebs as in most chondrites), so the meteoroid parent body has impact history. It could be an HED (Howardite-Eucrite-Diogenite) achondrite. The only way to tell is to cut this bad boy up - but I'm not about to spoil this beautiful stone. This meteorite comes with a Big Kahuna Meteorites Certificate of Authenticity. Scale cube in photo is 1cm on each side, and not included in sale. Big Kahuna combines shipping, and addresses must be in the English language, to facilitate customs input at US Postal Service. Non-English addresses cannot be shipped, and may incur additional fees for handling. We no longer ship to Italy.
