This NWA 5437 polished slice meteorite weighs 7.0 grams.This meteorite from Northwest Africa has a provisional classification of LL3.5, S1, W3 and was purchased in July 2008 from a dealer in Morocco. NWA 5437 has a low total known weight (TKW) of 4911 grams.General information regarding this meteorite:LL classification is for the low-iron, low metal group of ordinary chondrites. These typically have fairly large chondrules.Type 3 meteorites reflect abundant well defined chondrules with minimal modification. They represent some of the earliest material formed in the early stages of the solar system. Type 3 meteorites are graded on a scale of 3.0 to 3.9 based on the degree of alteration.
