Up for auction is one of seven vintage glass plate negatives of various area in the Adirondacks. We will sell each one individually. This one is labeled Lake George New York. The Steamship Sherman is at dock and the Horicon can be seen in the BackgroundI used the glass plates being sold to produce the photos used in the discription. Two of the negative are cracked which doesn't seem to matter when reproducing the photos from the plate as you will be able to tell in the scans. Below is the subject matter of each glass plate;1. St Huberts Inn, 2. Lake George NY Steamboats, Clermont & Sherman plus Hotel 3. Raquette River lady and guide boat 4. Adirondack Lodge, Heart Lake (cracked, see scan), 5. Mirror Lake (cracked see scan) Lake Placid, 6. Moose lake in the Adirondacks, 7. Hough's Inn or later know as Saranac Inn and we have 8. one more slide of Kinderhook Creek not far from the Hudson River and Stuyvesant Falls and NivervilleI do not know the photographer who took these photos. Some of you out t might know. They are quite old and probably date back to the 1880's.
