is a 2 5/8-inch diameter cup with a 4 7/16-inch diameter matching saucer manufactured, I assume, at the Nymphenburg Palace factory in Munich, Germany. Both pieces have the Nymphenburg name, coat of arms, and crown as well as the marks "NB 838 56" on the backs. (The 56 could be 1956, the year of manufacture.) The saucer has a "132", a "3", and a "4" which were probably impressed prior to firing so have kind of filled in with firing. The gold lines on both pieces are in excellent condition. The flowers seem to float above all those gold lines, giving an in-depth or three dimensional effect. These pieces are in wonderful condition as if fresh from the factory.
