October - November 1940 issue of VOGUE PATTERN BOOK 9 ½ x 12 ½ inches. 80 pages. Cover notes that this was a "Special Extra-Size Autumn Issue - A Collection of 475 Vogue Designs." (Typical issues were 64 pgs)Issue is like a catalog, loaded with illustrations of great vintage fashions available to sew with VOGUE sewing patterns. In the back, there's a list of approx. yardage of patterns and a list of places where patterns are sold.In acceptable condition, with some flaws. Cover has a taped 2" tear on right side (above the word Designs in the middle), plus a frayed upper right corner, and there's a brownish stain in lower left corner of cover. Pages overall pretty nice, but first 24 pages have a very small stain in bottom left corner. The last two pages have a big stain on bottom third, as does the back cover.
