See the images. Up for auction is a interesting World War I Red Cross woman's dog tag. Unual large size (1 7/16" not standard 1 3/8"). While researching this, I was very surprised to find that "Ray L. Scott" was an attractive female registered nurse! Her photo in a 3rd Army uniform can be found on the internet.The 38th Base Hospital wasthe Jefferson Medical College and Hospital Unit at Nantes, France, serving both AEF and civilian casualties. Jefferson Medical College is part of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
