NOTE The background color is the same shade/color of the original color of the tea set (no fading). The pieces appear lighter in my photographs due to my flash and lighting. This auction is for a old tin cup, saucer and plate that once belonged to a childrens tea set. The maker is the famed toy maker, Ohio Art Company of Bryan, Ohio. Per the book, Ohio Art The World of Toys by Lisa Kerr, page 44, this tea set pattern was produced in 1937. The plate has a wonderful central litho of a fairy princess (crown on forehead/head) bending down holding out one hand to a bunny who is sitting up looking at her. Her wings are open and her wand is in the air. The saucer has the same fairy with her wings open and her arms extending while birds flutter around her. The cup has the fairy sitting on the grassy ground with her wand out with flowers around. Lovely flower and leaf chain around each piece. The plate measures 4 1/8" in diameter and the saucer measures 2 5/8" in diameter. The cup stands 1 1/8" tall. The pieces are in very good condition with just some slight wear and a few tiny bumps/bends plate saucer (my opinion). It is amazing they have survived in such condition when you consider their age and the fact they are made of tin and were played with by a child. Please view all the photographs to make your determination of condition. Some
