For auction is a #1 Oil Lamp w/ a Janice Pattern & a Birmingham Brass Burner dated 10/85. This lamp is in beautiful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, and the label you see on the inside bottom just repeats the fact that this is a Janice Pattern Oil Lamp. It has been wheel etched inside the 4 panels, showing leaves. This lamp can be found in the Oil Lamps (first 1 out of the 3 volumes) by Catherine Thuro, page 293. The lamp measures 3 3/4" square at the base x 8 1/4" high. The total height including the burner and chimney is 16 1/2" tall. The chimney has what I believe is a silk screened design and then hand painted blue and red flowers to accent the design. A quick note about the chimney. It measures 8" tall x 4 3/4" in dia. at the widest part. It too is in good condition, but has about two (2) areas w the frosted section was rubbed smooth. I've just included a couple of extra photos of the chimney, as t seems to be a lot of interest in it. Look at my photos, and email me if you have any questions.
