Austrian Vienna Bronze Pit Bull Terrier Dogs This Vienna bronze shows a pair of Bulldogs or Pit Bull Terriers running along together. It looks like they are having a good time! The bronze is 3 3/4" long by 2" tall total size, each dog is about 2 3/4" long nose to tail. They do have quite a bit of paint loss but they stand well and do not have any cracks or breaks. The dogs are looking at each other as they run and play, both have collars and one collar has a padlock on it. The dogs have cropped ears and sort of curly tails, it was suggested to me that maybe they might be Pug dogs but they look more like old fashioned bulldogs or pit bull terriers. This is an antique Vienna bronze from about 1890 to maybe 1900, it is not signed but it is definitely an Austrian bronze. A nice piece for the bulldog or pit bull collector! I am selling some of my large collection of old animal bronzes due to my health issues. I do not have any health insurance and need to raise money to help pay the medical bills. I have collected the old bronzes for over 30 yrs and hate to let them go but I have no choice. They are wonderful little pieces to live with and I hope they will be enjoyed by their new owners.
