Undoubtedly the finest pipe in my collection, this Lakota triple effigy pipe exibits the finest Native craftsmanship I have ever seen. The quill work is spectacular and without question done by a master of the art. It is the finest and tightest quillwork I have seen in many years of collecting. The carving on the aged ash stem is equally spectacular and depicts the sacred totem animals carved in the wonderful abstract Lakota way. The catlinite bowl has seen many years of use and is beautiful in its traditional and elegant simplicity. The bowl is in near perfect condition with no breaks or chips and has aged to a deep red patina. It is 7-5/8" long x 4-1/2" tall. The pipe is 28" long overall.
