A uction D escription Now, this is a pair of nice old Art Deco Horse Bookends. The set looks great from any angle and is fully dimensional. This 1927 Ronson pair features a Mare and Foal side by side, standing beside the retaining wall on a good ol' ranch. This Western-inspired pair is in good condition aside from the tiniest hole in the tall grass on the base of one and the chipped ear tips on both horses. Otherwise, they are absolutely splendid! These pieces are made of metal and are finished with a dark chrome finish used only by Ronson with brass and silver highlights and t The detail in this pair is very nice indeed. You can see the fine separation of the blades of grass, the texture of the manes and tails, and the overgrown weeds poking through the wooden fence. This pair stands at 5 ¼" Tall, 6" Wide, and 3 ½" Deep and weighs 2 lbs each. They are both missing their felted tin bottoms, along with the original Ronson foil labels. These lovely bookends would make a fine addition to any bookend or Ronson collection! Take a look at the actual photos below to see what is being offered.
