These are old moccasins acquired several years ago. I was told they might be early to mid 20th century Iroquois or Cree, I have no idea. The leather (deer?) is in beautiful condition, very soft. The bead work is fantastic. Beads are bright and clear. The material looks like blue to maybe purple flannel. The backing is black cloth and stitching is most definitley hand done. Inside the moccasin is a grey flannel type material. These beautiful moccasins appear to have been worn very little. no marks or stains are visable. They measure approx 9 1/4" in total length.
