Up for consideration is a very clean original 1920's Finely Cast Bronze Art Deco Light Fixture. This light fixture is #2 of 2 that is being offered for sale on ebay. The piece is cast so finely that the edges of the components are as sharp as a knife..yet it is thick and robust....no doubt a sign of excellent quality. The components along the stem are seperately cast and are complicated in design. This piece measures 42 inches long by 24 inches wide. This is the larger fixture of the two. It is stamped X-Ray 4012 on the inside of the bonze frame on every rayed panel. Please see photos. The glass panels are not slip in shades. This lamp weighs about 40lbs. This lamp is extremely well made. It is a heavy wholesome piece. These are large but not overwhelming.... just chunky and wholesome...Great for a restaurant or study room. The top canopy consists of 2 pieces. A ruffled sharply cast piece over a smooth cap. This of course is held along the stem by a bronze ring with 2 set screws. My point being is that they could be shortened to fit a lower ceiling. I have sold dozens of slip in shade fixtures from the sacred to the profane but nothing compares to the quality of these. Enough said as I know everyone on ebay has something colorful to say about their products but these are first generation high end Art Deco pieces that probably came read more
