2 VINTAGE TOLE WALL POCKETS These round black metal wall pockets depict beautiful hand-painted flowers from an English garden with butterflies flitting about. One has a foxglove on the left with possible windflowers, columbine and morning glories in the foreground; the other has the same possible windflowers with maybe dianthus and foliage. The butterflies repeat the beautiful Victorian colors of the flowers (several shades of green and blue, cream, burgundy, salmon, tans and browns). The pics below were under bright lights, but in reality the colors are more subtle. The round hangings are 8-1/8" in diameter with a pocket with hanger on the back. Pockets are 4" X 2-5/8" X 1-1/8". The wall pocket on the right is in good condition with some surface marks but the painting is all intact. The one on the left has some linear marks in the middle that look like "hot" marks or possible scratches; a few places on the large flower have flakes from this. However, when looking directly at the pockets very littlle of this shows. Very pretty! The painting is gorgeous against the black background.
