Offered is an old (1940s or 50s) octagonal bowl in the Pink Vista pattern by Mason's. It was used as a waste, as part of a fan-shape tea set. The set is from my personal collection and I've had it for decades. Every piece is absolutely mint. Transfer color is a deep, rich raspberry. Not insipid or washed out, like newer wares. The crown mark mark reads, MASONS Patent Ironstone China, VISTA England. Under that is (indistinct) "Guaranteed Permanent Acid Resisting Colours." See photo. Bowl stands 1 1/2" from tabletop. The octagonal body is 6 3/4" across, 5" deep. T is some age related crazing on white surfaces, and 1/2" area of minor darkening on white in one spot. Hardly noticeable.
