OLD Mellgren & Co. SSA Eskilstuna Sweden Razor, NMINT Clean straight razor from Mellgren & Co., Eskilstuna, Sweden. Hollow ground blade. Great condition and good Swedish steel. Markings: The stamp (deep reverse etch) on the front of shank reads "SSA / ESKILSTUNA, SWEDEN" Rear tang stamping is "MELLGREN CO. / SWEDEN" Dimensions: Razor is 6-1/4 inches when closed. Blade is a hair under 11/16 inch wide. Materials: Handles are slick black hard rubber. Condition: Blade has been sharpened lightly, but appears to be full. It has the original factory polish and only a couple small freckles. This is one clean blade! The edge is clean with no chips, cracks, or pits. The shank and tang have some light patina. The stampings are clear and easy to read. Handles are glossy and deep black, with no fading. They are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or warping. One tiny pinprick in front handle keeps it from being perfect. Blade closes smoothly and t is no play. Box: No box.Wonderful example of a quality Swedish razor. Very clean!
