Old Newbury Crafters Sterling Bicentennial Server Engraved Eagle 33 Y.O. This is a hand forged and chased example of the silversmiths art. It is a very thick gauge sterling silver and has a nice heft to it. T is no monogram or monogram removal. The eagle engraved on the blade is done in exquisite detail. It is the same eagle as on out national seal with outstretched wings and talons grasping an olive branch and arrows. The Bicentennial dates 1776 and 1976 are engraved on both sides of the eagle. It is fully marked on the back "Hand Wrought Sterling Old Newbury Crafters". We like the way hand wrought silver shimmers and shines. The hand forging makes it look like glistening ice. This is a wonderful collectors piece. It has minimal use and we suspect that it has spent most of its life in a silver drawer. 3.8 ounces and measure: 8.25 long x 2.25 width More pictures at the end All pictures are taken for different angles at a big aumentation , so you will be able to see even details can not be seen at the naken eye, please do not assume information, if you need any please contact us before bidding, we will be glad to help,..thanks!!
