Description Very rare old russian church booklet signed by the so called "Mad Monk or Holy Devil" Rasputin.The booklet was obtained with some other items after World War 2 in russia by a friend of my grandfather.The signature was made with pencil on the front page of the booklet. Rasputin was known as a famous monk healer which had much influence to the tsar and his family in the later days of Russia 's Romanov dynasty. He was consulted by many people and had almost a saint image by many of his clients. Rasputin soon became a controversial figure, becoming involved in politics and the russian revolution. He was murdered in 1916 under mysterious conditions. Condition The signature has faded but is still "readable".The small 6 x 4 1/2 inch booklet is in a very poor condition .It was printed in 1902 and was obviously shown around many, many time.The pages are loose with many stains and the cloth cover has torn parts. However this is a very rare and hard to get item I guess! Please note: The portrait picture is not coming with the item. If you wish I gladly add a modern xerox printer copy.
