Up for auction is this Antique Glass Kerosene Oil Sewing Lamp This vintage glass pedestal oil lamp is wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This lamp would date to 1880-1900, and is shown in Thuro's book on Oil Lamps. This early glass lamp measures 8 1/2" tall to the top of the collar. The lamp does glow under blacklight, authenticating early american glass manufacturing. This lamp is clean and the glass shines in light. The total measurement is 17 3/4" tall with the delicate pearl top chimney in place. This lamp comes with a number two size burner and nice old pearl top glass chimney. The threads in the collar are good shape and are not stripped. This is a beautiful vintage victorian early lamp that has not been drilled or repaired. The glass has a amethyst purple tint from exposure to sunlight. Please look at my other listings this week as I have several other lamps I will be offering.
