Hello shoppers! It's time for some more home renovation for us, and we are offering some of our "vintage" home accessories for auction. This item is a 1960's era cast or wrought iron stair rail. I contend that it's cast iron, because t is a seam in the decorative pattern, and my wife doesn't have a good argument why it's wrought iron; she just calls it wrought iron. Anyway, it's a 6 piece set, and looking at it from above it takes the shape of a rectangular pattern. The top of the stair rail overlooks the staircase, and it measures 62" in length and 32" in height. In the rendering of the stair rail, it shows as being shorter than the piece going down the stairs, but it's the same length. The next piece goes 90 degrees to the left, and goes down 2 steps; it measures roughly 21" in length. It takes another 90 degree turn to the left, and goes down 7 more steps and another 62". The piece is actually longer than 62" in length, but it goes down at the angle of the stairs at around 40 degrees. T is a landing at the bottom of the stairs and the next piece faces the steps, and comes out from the wall at 42" in length. At the bottom of the steps are the 2 curved pieces which come out a little more than 12", and come down the final 2 steps. T are 6 decorative brass caps covering each of the corners.
