OLD Wade & Butcher Razor, Sheffield - Clean NMINT Very clean straight razor from Wade & Butcher, Sheffield, England. Hollow ground blade. Great condition! Post-1891 razor. Markings: The stamp on the front of shank reads "WADE & BUTCHER'S / BLANK FOR CONCAVING / SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND" and the logo of B in a circle, arrow, and iron cross. Dimensions: Razor is 6-1/2 inches when closed. Blade is a hair under 11/16 inch wide. Materials: Handles are slick black hard rubber. Condition: Blade has been stropped and appears to be full. It has the original factory polish and only a couple small freckles and a bit of very light tarnish (my lighting makes the blade look more tarnished than it is). Very clean blade! The edge is clean with no chips, cracks, or pits. The shank and tang have a few very light stains and light patina, no pitting. The stampings are clear and easy to read. Handles are glossy and deep black, with no fading. They are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or warping. Blade closes smoothly and firmly, and t is no play.
