Howdy!! We buy from local NY & PA & Canadian estates ,we are not in love with the stuff ,so we're to move it and we sell it all with no reserve.Today we are listing a World War 1 ,U.S. Army Air Service trunk / metal footlocker full of an identified soldiers things.The soldier was Oscar Daryl Downs and his Serial number was 2739912.T are 5 photos of this young soldier included,some with uniform on.Also included are the set of marked dog tags.We can start off with the trunk,in very good original condition,with the painted top and ends.Each end has ODD in black and a fabric tag that reads; O.D. Downs, Port Allegany PA.,McKean Co..It has its original key and is about 30" X 16" X 12" in size and it has its tray.Full the trunk weighs about 60 pounds.T are 2 helmets,1 kind of rough (left side)with a painted unit emblem and the other still has the felt liner piece.T are 2 pair of wool type pants and a canvas pair ,all have the lace up legs and tags.T are belts ,buckles ,shoe laces & a hankerchief.T is a brown leather & brass fitted Sam Browne type belt(over the shoulder strap has a break).T is a black leather belt with a gold eagle buckle,looks like a small sword carrying belt (maybe his before he went in?).T is a carved oriental ivory type cigar holder.T is a brown ditty type bag with a backwards american flag on it.In it was the waterproof read more
